                        used to be one manuscript (called ÍBR. B. 16). Both manuscripts have similarly themed contents. The manuscript was split
                        up in <date when="1870">1870</date>, as Páll Pálsson stúdent states in a note on the verso side of the first front flyleaf.
                        <name type="person" role="owner" key="BjaBjo002">Bjarni Björnsson</name> sold the manuscript to the
                        Reykjavík division of the <name type="organisation" role="owner" key="IslBom">Icelandic Literary Society - Reykjavíkurdeild Hins
                           íslenska bókmenntafélags</name>.</p>
