                        On fol. <locus>112v</locus>: <q>Þessi saga er ei merkileg og illa samin og mun lítil tilhæfa
                        vera í henni og hef eg skrifad hana ad gamni mínu. Gudbr: Sturlaugsson. Addaníusar saga sem
                        hér kémur á eptir er laung og stappsöm. tel eg hana lítt merka enn þó er sumt í henni ei med
                        öllu ónytt, en um hana ad seigja eins og adrar riddara sögur að þær eru gjördar meira til gamans
                        enn gagns, Gudbrandur Sturlaugsson. Þad er ætlan mín ad sagan af Hektori og köppum hans sé
                        tillhæfu laus skröksaga og ad þeir menn sem þar eru nefndir hafi aldrei verid til. Gudbr. Sturlaugsson</q>
