                                    <p>The first 25 leaves are heavily worn and have been restored more than once. Some of the
                                       repairs contain manuscript waste (e.g. fol. <locus>127</locus>).
                                        A piece of fol. <locus>214</locus> has been excised and covered with a pasteover containing a fragment of a
                                        letter dated <date when="1732">1732</date> in <name type="place">Fagradal</name>.
                                        On the recto <q>Finis libri</q> has been added, and the verso reads:

                        some of which are only partially legible. A thanksgiving verse has been written on fol. <locus>215v</locus>.</p>

                                   There is evidence of earlier book clasps (holes, discoloration)
                                   on the rear cover, but they have not survived.
                                   The flyleaves and pastedowns contain manuscript waste bearing fragments of private letters.
