                        <provenance><p>Gödel gives two contradictory statements about the acquisition of the manuscript; in his
                                catalogue he states that it was most likely <name key="GudOla001" type="person" role="other">Guðmundur Ólafsson</name> who acquired the manuscript for the <name key="AntKol001" type="organisation" role="owner">Antikvitetskollegiet</name> in or before 1683, but in
                                    <ref>Fornnorsk-isländsk littertur i Sverige I</ref> he claims that the manuscript was probably
                                acquired for the Antikvitetskollegiet by <ref type="person">Jonas Rugman</ref> during a journey to
                                Iceland in <date when="1661">1661</date>. Schück deems the latter an erratum, also
                                because he proves that Rugman never went to Iceland in 1661. The manuscript is listed in the
                                Antikvitetskollegiet's inventory from 1693.</p></provenance>
