                     <p>The manuscript and its second part, <ref target="#GKS02-1003-en">GKS 1003 fol.</ref>, were 
                        written for <name type="person" key="JonEyj005" role="commissioner">Jón Eyjólfsson of <name type="place">Eyvindarmúli in Fljótshlíð</name>
                  </name>. They came to <name type="place">Copenhagen</name>
                     about twenty years after they were written. The two volumes vere
                     presented to <name type="person" role="owner" key="Kri002">king Christian V</name> by reverend
                     <name type="person" role="owner" key="BjoTho004">Björn Þorleifsson</name>.
                     They were returned to Iceland in 1971.</p></provenance>
