                        accompanying slip, the variants come from a book belonging to lögmaður
                        <name type="person" role="other" key="SigBjo001">Sigurður Björnsson</name> from <name type="place" key="Saurb02">Saurbær</name> (<date from="1643" to="1723">1643-1723</date>), which was
                        written by lögréttumaður
                        <name type="person" role="marginal" key="SigJon008">Sigurður Jónsson</name> from <name type="place" key="Knörr01">Knörr</name> (<date from="1633" to="1717">1633-1717</date>); the source
                        is presumably <ref type="ms" target="#AM04-0281-en" ana="#antigraph">AM 281 4to</ref>. Inside the bilfolio
                        AM-slip, which is bound in the front of the manuscript, there is an even smaller slip, possibly in the same hand
                        as the variants, beginning with: <q>Sagan<ex>n</ex> af Ragnare Lodbrök sem fornum var kongur yfer Danmork

                     <binding ana="#moderate" contemporary="false">
                        <p>Bound in a binding from <date notBefore="1700" notAfter="1730">1700 to 1730</date> and
                              <date notBefore="1880" notAfter="1920">1880 to 1920</date>. The binding has a
                           parchment spine on which <name type="person" role="owner" key="ArnMag001">Árni Magnússon</name> wrote:
                              <q xml:lang="is">Ragnars Saga Loðbrökar.</q> The original parchment cover - from a missal in Latin
                           containing notes - was partly replaced by a marbled paper-cover in <date when="1911">1911</date>. On the pastedown <name type="person" role="scholar" key="KriKaa001">Kålund</name> has
                           noted the date <date when="1911-08-07">7/8-1911</date>.</p>
                        <p>The parchment leaves have been transferred to <ref type="ms">Acc. 7 β Hs 2</ref> (Graduale Gufudalense), now constituting fols. 22 and 24.</p>
