None: Poor: When the manuscript was bound, the margins were trimmed very closely to the text. However, text is lost on fols. 12, 135-137, 139, 151 and 155-156 (side margins), on fols. 124-126, 141-142 and 148 (top margins) and on fols. 13-20, 68, 71-80, 87-92, 94-96, 99-109 and 114-123 (running titles). Fol. 125 has a frayed bottom margin and missing outer bottom with loss of text. Some leaves have paper strips pasted over frayed margins. These strips are now often very loose so that the text underneath them can be read. Fols. 1-3 were covered on their verso sides with other pieces of paper to support them; on fol. 1 there is red marbled paper and newspapers pasted on its verso side. On fol. 81r a piece of yellow transparent paper was pasted over a cut in the leaf. There is mould on the manuscript.260mm x 148mmNote: Written in one column, except the verses on fols. 67v, 73r-v and 83v in 2 columns, with 32 to 46 lines per page, although usually with 38.Note: End of items written in half-diamond indentionCatchwords are on every page on fols. 4r-40r, 41r-v, 42r-55r, 56r-65v, 66v-70r, 71r, 97r-108r, 118r, 126v-136v, 137v and 138v-159v, and on every verso side on fols. 71v-95v and 109v-122v.Pétur JónssonUnknownMinor

Helgi Konráðsson in Sauðárkrókur. It is not sure how the manuscript came into Pétur Jónsson´s ownership, but it is likely that Jón Benediktsson, son of the provost Benedikt Vigfússon in Hólar, and his son Halldór Jónsson sold or gave it away when they emigrated to North America.
