All sagas and more (see AM 147 fol.) reached Þormóður in 1685 through a salesman in Eyrarbakki, Andrese Laridtssyne Beck, from séra Torfi Jónsson í Gaulverjabæ, except for the two first and the last which were given to him by Árni Magnússon. Árni divided the book in 1720 (see AM 435 b 4to, fols. 9r-10).
