There are several marginalia and corrections to the text, some by Árni Magnússon. Most marginal notes have been erased later on. On fol. 24v-26r, a later hand capitalized the words "rúner" in all 9 instances; other corrections in the same hand.

The manuscript was formerly bound in one large bifolio from a Latin liturgical book with musical notation, written in Iceland in the third quarter of the fifteenth century, now AM Access. 7aβ, HS 2. The parchment on the boards was removed in 1911 and replaced with marbeled paper. The parchment on the spine was retained in the newer binding.
