Marginalia consist of scribal corrections, user signatures, writing exercises and scribbles. The latter category is in empty spaces at ends of texts. The first item contains a foreword describing the antigraph and a list of Old Icelandic texts related to Iceland at the back. There are also several NB marks in the margin. This is a clear indicaiton of a scholarly interest. The remaining, older parts of the text, nevertheless, contain no marginalia indicating a scholarly interest.

Moderately decorated (later)
Binding relatively well preserved, but old and used. The edges are worn and the leather on the
spine is crumbling off. The binding is greasy and dark brown, probably smoked like the paper
of the manuscript. The binding may therefore come from Iceland, with the gilded title
inscription on the spine added later.
Old binding all lined with leather on the sides and spine. Gilt incription "ICELANDIC SAGAS
M.S." on the spine.
1700-1750IcelandNote: There is a colophon: Endat 3 Decembris Anno 1720 on
92v
Þorsteinn Jónsson: SignatoryAmbiguous: SignatoryÞorsteinn Benediktsson: SignatoryBenedikt Þorsteinsson: Þorsteinn Benediktsson: Þorsteinn Jónsson: Jón Jónsson: Several persons have written their names in the manuscript: Þorsteinn Jónsson, M Þorun, Mr Thorsteinn
Benedic Son. Þórunn Björnsdóttir is the wife of lögmaður Benedikt
Þorsteinsson; Þorsteinn Benediktsson is her
son. Þorsteinn Jónsson, student, may have been the man who
married the daughter of séra Jón Jónsson of Helgastaðir, the tutor of Þorsteinn Benediktsson above. The manuscript
came to the Advocates' Library after 1830.
