When Kålund was writing his catalogue in the late 19th century, the manuscript was bound in a parchment
binding with text from a French Biblia latina from c. 1300, now Acc. 7e, Hs
122; fols. 7, 10, 26, 35, 37 and 39.
The parchment was removed in 1911 and replaced with a marbeled
paper binding. The parchment spine was preserved. Kålund noted the date 8/8-11 on the front fly-sheet. This binding has been removed and is kept
seperately with the manuscript.
Current binding: modern standard half-binding. Kålund's notes are cut out and glued to the new front
fly-sheet. Dimensions: 311 x
235 x
14 mm.

Þormóður Torfason: OwnerÁrni Magnússon: OwnerPrior to AM the only known owner of the manuscript is Torfæus. AM 10 fol. used to be part of a larger manuscript, which in its most complete form was
probably put together by Torfæus in Norway rather than in Iceland. After his death, is was passed on to Árni Magnússon, who, according to his note, took apart the
larger manuscript.
