Moderately decorated (contemporary)
The binding is contemporary though repair work has been done and new flyleaves added to the bookblock.
The boards are wooden, the front board has been snapped at some point and glued back together. There
are holes for a strap made of a strip of parchment to pass thorugh in the centre of the outer edges of
teh front and back board. The spine is covered in brown leather upon which are printed in gilt the
three crowns and "COD. ISL. PAPP. 8:o N:o 10". A red label is attached to the front cover at
the bottom. It reads: "Riks-Bibliotek STOCKHOLM Handskrifter. Islandica Pappir
8o No 10".
