There are two AM-slips, (a) and (b), in the manuscript containing information concerning possible scribes of the manuscript. Slip (a) reads: "Bryniolfr Einarsson seger, ad þessa Ragnars Saga se hverki skrifud af Kolbeine Hannessyne nie Päle (α) Sveinssyne. Og verd eg þä ad corrigera þad, sem eg (in registro qvodam) hefi skrifad um hóndena ä Ragnars Sögu og Explicatione Sigurdrïfumäla i bők þesse er eg feck fra Þorlake Þordarsyne; Item Sögubokinne sem stendr in Bibliotheca ReSeniana pag. 259. α] Sr. Gisle Alfsson helldr þő fyrer vïst ad þetta sie hónd Pals Sveinssonar. Seger og ad hónd Päls hafi umbreitst j þvi Päle hafi daprast siőn, og kunni þvi tvennar hans hendur őlïkar ad vera."
AM-slip (b) reads: "Þettaþesse Ragnars Sagaer med hende Kolbeins Hanneßonar ij Flöa. þat mun ei svo vera. þetta mun vera hónd Päls Sveinssonar. Bryniolfur Einarsson seger Nei. þad er vist ad þesse sama hónd hefur skrifad fyrer Sr. Þorstein Biórnsson. vide titul ä þann fragmentis folio, er eg feck af Isleife Einarssyne, og ätt hafde Þora ä Setberge. hvar ä Suppostitia Skiólldunga Saga."

Moderately decorated (later)

The manuscript was formerly bound in leaves from a Latin liturgical book with musical notation (two overlapping leaves), written in Iceland in the fifteenth century, now AM Access. 7b, HS 34. The parchment on the boards was removed in 1911 and replaced with marbeled paper. The parchment on the spine was retained in the newer binding. Since the script on the parchment on the spine is coming away, underlying material has become visible. It can be identified as Icelandic.
